Description
For the selective isolation and identification of anaerobic gram(+) cocci. An isolation medium suitable for most anaerobic organisms. The peptones it contains aid the growth of anaerobic bacteria.
To use it, you must open it in a clean area wearing gloves. The petri dish should dry in the incubator at 37°C, for approximately 30 – 45 minutes.
Then inoculate the petri dishes with the sample to be examined, as soon as possible after its receipt from the laboratory, with serial dilutions for individual colonies.
Incubate under anaerobic conditions, at 35-37°C for 24 hours to five days.
Anaerobic conditions can be controlled with a specific anaerobiosis indicator such as the Gas pak anaerobic indicator.
